INPATIENT HOSPITAL ACTIVITIES—DETOXIFICATION

1. (a) Admission procedures other than initial medical or psychiatric care shall be performed at a time when the patient is mentally and physically capable of comprehension and response.

2. (b) Admission procedures shall include documentation of the following:

   1. (1) Histories, which include the following:

      1. (i) Medical history.
      2. (ii) Drug or alcohol history, or both.
      3. (iii) Personal history.
   2. (2) Consent to treatment.
   3. (3) Physical examination.
   4. (4) Psychosocial evaluation.
