28 Pa. Code § 17.54 – Enforcement procedures.

(a) Public schools. Enforcement procedures in public schools shall conform with the following:
1. (1) Emergency environmental health orders shall be issued under section 12 of the act (16 P. S. § 12012).
2. (2) Public schools which continue in noncompliance with applicable requirements, after proper notice, shall be brought to the attention of the Division of Facility Sanitation and Vector Control, which will coordinate action with the Department of Education for abatement.
(b) Licensed private academic schools. The suspension or revocation of a license for a private academic school lies within the authority of the issuing agency; however, county and local health departments shall take enforcement actions under the act.
