Public water suppliers shall:

1. (1) Protect the water sources under the supplier’s control.
2. (2) Provide treatment adequate to assure that the public health is protected.
3. (3) Provide and effectively operate and maintain public water system facilities.
4. (4) Take whatever investigative or corrective action is necessary to assure that safe and potable water is continuously supplied to the users.
