234 Pa. Code Rule 242
The following procedure shall be applicable in each county that under these rules, is to supply prospective jurors for a statewide or regional investigating grand jury:
(3) The names of any such prospective jurors forwarded to the Court Administrator of Pennsylvania shall include only those prospective jurors who have undergone such voir dire.
Comment
It is intended that, as to prospective jurors for a statewide or regional investigating grand jury, the voir dire take place as follows: (1) the voir dire would be conducted in each county which is to supply jurors by the supervising judge of the investigating grand jury, the president judge, or another judge of that county designated by the president judge; and (2) any necessary additional voir dire would thereafter be conducted by the supervising judge of the investigating grand jury at the designated location of the investigating grand jury.
