1. (a) A recipient who fails to enroll in a term of the academic year for which the award was granted must request a deferment from the Agency. Where a request for deferment is received from the student subsequent to the Agency’s cancellation for nonenrollment as reported by the school or college on the higher education grant disbursement roster, the cancelled portion of the student’s award shall not be reinstated except, funds permitting, at the discretion of the staff.
2. (b) Students with awards cancelled under this section shall be entitled to review of such cancellation under § § 121.7 and 121.8 (relating to notice of denial and preliminary review procedures; and applicant and recipient appeals and hearings) in accordance with the procedure for review and appeals.
