1. (1) A person commits the offense of failure to register a vehicle if the person owns a vehicle in this state and the person does not register the vehicle in this state.
2. (2) In addition to other persons subject to this section, this section applies to out-of-state corporations owning, operating or maintaining a place of business in this state with regard to vehicles that are used by the corporation doing business in this state.
3. (3) Exemptions from this section are established under ORS 803.305.
4. (4) The offense described in this section, failure to register a vehicle, is a Class D traffic violation.
