Except as provided in ORS 497.006, as used in this chapter:
(1)
- (a) “Resident” means a person who has physically resided in this state for not less than six consecutive months immediately prior to the date of making application for a license, tag or permit issued by the State Fish and Wildlife Commission.
(b) “Resident” does not include a person:
- (A) Who merely owns real property or pays property taxes in this state; or
- (B) Who claims resident privileges in another state or country for any purpose.
- (2) “Nonresident” means any person other than a resident.
