As used in ORS 238.500 to 238.585, unless the context requires otherwise:

1. (1) “Court” means the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeals, the Oregon Tax Court and a circuit court.
2. (2) “Judge” means a judge of any court.
3. (3) “Judge member” means a judge who is a member of the Public Employees Retirement System subject to ORS 238.500 to 238.585.

4. (4) “Service as a judge” means creditable service, as defined by ORS 238.005, by a judge as:

   1. (a) A regularly elected or appointed judge of a court; or
   2. (b) A regularly elected or appointed judge of a court temporarily in another court.
