1. (1) A person commits the crime of possession of a false law enforcement identification card if the person possesses a false law enforcement identification card.
2. (2) Possession of a false law enforcement identification card is a Class A misdemeanor.

3. (3) As used in this section, “false law enforcement identification card” means an identification card that:

   1. (a) Identifies the possessor of the card as a member of a law enforcement unit; and
   2. (b) Was not lawfully issued to the possessor by the law enforcement unit.
