A registered Preceptor must:

1. (1) Train only one AIT at a time.
2. (2) Meet one-on-one with the AIT for at least four hours per month to discuss the strengths, progress, and competency development needs of the AIT, and to suggest methods of improvement. In-person consultation must be documented on a form prescribed by the Office.
3. (3) Sign the Certificate of Training completion forms.
4. (4) Notify the Office within 10 business days if they are no longer supervising the AIT.
