The administrative officer of the Oregon State Board of Examiners for Engineering and Land Surveying authorized by ORS 670.306 shall:

1. (1) Not be a member of the Board.
2. (2) Serve at the pleasure of the Board.
3. (3) Receive such compensation as the Board may determine.
4. (4) Perform such duties as assigned by the Board.
