The Board may certify a person as an Anesthesia Dental Assistant if the applicant submits a completed application, pays the certification fee and shows satisfactory evidence of:

1. (1) Successful completion of:

   1. (a) The "Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Anesthesia Assistants Program" or successor program, conducted by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons; or
   2. (b) The "Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Assistants Course" or successor course, conducted by the California Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (CALAOMS), or a successor entity; or
   3. (c) The "Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Assistant" examination, or successor examination, conducted by the Dental Assisting National Board or other Board approved examination; or
   4. (d) The Resuscitation Group – Anesthesia Dental Assistant course; or
   5. (e) Other course approved by the Board; and
2. (2) Holding valid and current documentation showing successful completion of a Healthcare Provider BLS course, or its equivalent.
