The Coyote Springs Wildlife Area is open to wildlife-oriented public use compatible with the goals and objectives contained in the 2008 (updated 2022) Columbia Basin Wildlife Area Management Plan unless otherwise excluded or restricted by the following rules:

1. (1) Camping or overnight stay is prohibited.
2. (2) Open fires are prohibited.
3. (3) Discharging firearms other than shotguns is prohibited.
4. (4) Discharging a shotgun is prohibited except as authorized during game bird seasons.
5. (5) No person shall possess or use any shot other than federally-approved nontoxic shot.
6. (6) The wildlife area is closed to the public between 10 pm and 4 am except in designated parking areas.
7. (7) No person shall leave decoys set out overnight (10 pm to 4 am.)
8. (8) Placing waterfowl hunting site closer than 200 yards apart is prohibited.
9. (9) Closed to all big game hunting.
10. (10) ODFW Wildlife Area Parking Permit required.
11. (11) Trapping is prohibited.
