1. (1) It is unlawful to take, land or possess white sturgeon (Acipenser transmontanus) for commercial purposes except in the:

   1. (a) Columbia River, in the areas and during the times open to the taking of sturgeon for commercial purposes as provided in OAR 635-042-0135;
   2. (b) Coquille and Siuslaw, in the areas and during the times open to the taking of shad for commercial purposes as provided in OAR 635-004-0595; and
   3. (c) The Pacific Ocean at all times.
2. (2) It is unlawful to take, land or possess green sturgeon (Acipenser medirostris) for commercial purposes.
