(1) The following entities are eligible Member Organizations of a Regional Educator Network:
- (a) School districts;
- (b) State-sponsored public charter schools (per ORS 338.075);
- (c) The Oregon School for the Deaf;
- (d) An education program under the Youth Corrections Education Program or the Juvenile Detention Education Program;
- (e) Federally Recognized Tribes of this State; and
- (f) Education Service Districts.
- (2) Each biennium, Sponsoring Organizations shall develop and or update a communication plan to notify and invite eligible Member Organizations located within the regional geographic boundary to participate in the Regional Educator Network. The ongoing communication required by this subsection shall be provided in writing and directed to the chief executive officer or superintendent of the eligible member organization. The communications shall include the multiple ways Educators employed by and representatives of the Member Organization can engage in the Regional Educator Network and technical assistance provided by the Regional Educator Network.
(3) Member Organization engagement may include, but is not limited to:
- (a) Selecting a representative to serve on the Coordinating Body;
- (b) Creating or participating in a Design Team to develop a professional learning plan that is submitted to the Regional Educator Network for review;
- (c) Receiving technical assistance from the Sponsoring Organization; and
- (d) Participating in networked learning convenings to collaborate, engage in disciplined inquiry, knowledge sharing and knowledge creation to address a common or shared challenge using the tools of improvement science in order to enhance organizational capacity and improve student learning.
