- (1) At a minimum, participation in the intensive coaching program must be done in accordance with OAR 581-003-0035 to 581-003-0090.
(2) A school district shall receive grant-in-aid when participating in the intensive coaching program. To receive grant-in-aid, a school district must enter into a grant agreement with the Department. A grant-in-aid agreement must:
- (a) Specify that grant-in-aid will continue until June 30th of the participating district’s final school year of program participation;
- (b) Require the school district to engage in Tribal Consultation with Tribal Nations, for affected school districts under Section 8538 of the federal Every Student Succeeds Act;
- (c) Require the school district to commit to scheduling and supporting regular Student Success Team meetings;
- (d) Ensure that the decision-making process of Student Success Team centers students’ perspectives, including represented student groups, as appropriate given the school district’s demographics;
- (e) Identify a District Point Person to support the Intensive Coaching Program within the school district for each year of participation; and
- (f) Require the school district to accept and implement the recommendations of the Student Success Team pursuant to terms outlined in ORS 327.169.
- (3) Whether a participating school district has demonstrated improvement shall be determined by the criteria outlined in OAR 581-003-0060.
