1. (1) To be eligible to participate in this program a nurse or prospective nurse shall submit an application to the Commission. Nurse practitioners licensed under ORS 678.375 are not eligible to participate.
2. (2) When funds are available, the Commission will provide application materials and information about the selection process to qualified individuals who have provided their names and mailing information to the Commission.
3. (3) Applicants selected for participation in this program shall sign an agreement with the Commission which sets forth the terms which the applicant must meet in order to qualify for benefits under this program.
4. (4) For purposes of selection, a selection committee, consisting of a representative each from the Oregon State Board of Nursing, the Office of Rural Health, the Oregon Nurses Association, the Area Health Education Center Program, and an employer in the health care field, will select participants annually.
