If a financial group (see OAR 461-110-0530) receives lump-sum income that will make the financial group ineligible or cause a reduction in benefits:

1. (1) The Department will deny benefits to an applicant and send a basic decision notice (see OAR 461-001-0000).

2. (2) If a benefit group (see OAR 461-110-0750) is receiving benefits, the Department will stop or reduce them and:

   1. (a) If the action is based on changes reported on the Periodic Report form, send a continuing benefit decision notice (see OAR 461-001-0000).
   2. (b) If the action is not based on changes reported on the Periodic Report form, send a timely continuing benefit decision notice (see OAR 461-001-0000).
