Or. Admin. R. 459-005-0590 – General Provisions and Applicability Date — Direct Rollovers

(1) OAR 459-005-0590 to 459-005-0599 apply to direct rollover distributions made on or after January 1, 1993.
(2) Notwithstanding any provision to the contrary in ORS Chapters 238 or 238A or any administrative rule of the Public Employees Retirement Board other than OAR 459-005-0590 to 459-005-0599, a distributee may elect, in accordance with 459-005-0599, to have any portion of an eligible rollover distribution paid directly to an eligible retirement plan specified by the distributee in a direct rollover.
(3) The direct rollover rule OAR 459-005-0590 to 459-005-0599 shall be interpreted and administered in accordance with Code Section 401(a)(31) and any applicable regulations and administrative rulings thereunder.
(4) The provisions of this rule are effective on January 1, 2004.
