1. (1) Operating and emergency procedures must include instructions in the following when required by the authority:

   1. (a) Appropriate use of radiation machines so that no person is likely to be exposed to radiation doses in excess of the limits established in division 120;
   2. (b) Methods and occasions for conducting radiation surveys;
   3. (c) Methods for posting and controlling access to radiation areas;
   4. (d) Individual monitoring program to include operations of the monitoring equipment;
   5. (e) The inspection, maintenance, and operability checks of radiation machines and survey instruments;
   6. (f) Steps that must be taken immediately by X-ray operators in the event a pocket dosimeter is found to be off-scale or electronic personal dosimeter reads greater than 2 milliseiverts (200mrem);
   7. (g) The procedure(s) for identifying and reporting defects and noncompliance, as required by OAR 333-122-0230;
   8. (h) The procedure for notifying appropriate person(s) in the event of an accident or incident; and
   9. (i) Maintenance of records.
2. (2) The registrant must maintain copies of current operating and emergency procedures in accordance with OAR 333-122-0151, OAR 333-122-0251 and OAR 333-122-0270.
