Or. Admin. R. 333-020-0165 – Exemptions from Hearing Screening

(1) A mandated facility directed to provide hearing screenings is exempt from the requirements specified in these rules if the parent or guardian of the newborn child objects to the screening procedure on the grounds that it conflicts with the religious tenets and practices of the parent or guardian.
(2) The parent or guardian must sign a statement that the child is being reared with religious tenets and practices that conflict with the screening and that the hearing screening is waived for religious reasons.
