1. (1) Laboratories shall report to the Oregon Public Health Division all test results indicative of and specific for the following diseases, infections, microorganisms, and conditions, within the following time frames, as follows:

   1. (a) Immediately, day or night: anthrax, rabies, and plague;
   2. (b) Within one day: psittacosis, leptospirosis, Q fever, and tularemia; and
   3. (c) Within one week: Baylisascaris, Borrelia burgdorferii, campylobacteriosis, Cryptococcus, Cryptosporidium, Escherichia coli O157:H7, giardiasis, lymphocytic choriomeningitis, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, salmonellosis, toxoplasmosis, West Nile virus, yersiniosis; and any other disease that could potentially be a zoonotic illness.

2. (2) “Test” as used in this rule, includes but is not limited to:

   1. (a) Microbiological culture, isolation, or identification;
   2. (b) Assays for specific antibodies; and
   3. (c) Identification of specific antigens, toxins, or nucleic acid sequences.
