(1) After a Serious Adverse Event occurs, a Participant must notify each affected patient or the patient's personal representative. Notification must be timely and should be consistent with the Participant's internal communication and disclosure policies. (2) The Oregon Patient Safety Commission (OPSC) encourages Participants to notify each affected patient or the patient's personal representative of less serious adverse events. (3) As provided in ORS 442.837(4), notification provided under this subsection may not be construed as an admission of liability in a civil action.
