1. (1) Vessel lights as prescribed herein shall have visible intensity.

2. (2) In a vessel of 50 meters or more in length:

   1. (a) A masthead light, six miles;
   2. (b) A sidelight, three miles;
   3. (c) A sternlight, three miles;
   4. (d) A towing light, three miles;
   5. (e) A white, red, green or yellow all-round light, three miles; and a special flashing light, two miles.

3. (3) In a vessel of 12 meters or more in length but less that 50 meters in length:

   1. (a) A masthead light, five miles; except that where the length of the vessel is less than 20 meters, three miles;
   2. (b) A sidelight, two miles;
   3. (c) A sternlight, two miles;
   4. (d) A towing light, two miles;
   5. (e) A white, red, green or yellow all-round light, two miles; and a special flashing light, two miles.

4. (4) In a vessel of less than 12 meters in length:

   1. (a) A masthead light, two miles;
   2. (b) A sidelight, one mile;
   3. (c) A sternlight, two miles;
   4. (d) A towing light, two miles;
   5. (e) A white, red, green or yellow all-round light, two miles; and a special flashing light, two miles.
5. (5) In an inconspicuous, partly submerged vessel or object being towed, a white all-round light, three miles.
