- (1) An authorized representative of the superintendent shall assign medical personnel as defined in ORS 463.015 to unarmed combat sports events.
- (2) The assigned medical personnel shall sit within the secure barrier area at the fenced area at all unarmed combat sports events.
- (3) No bout shall be allowed to proceed unless medical personnel are in their seat.
- (4) Medical personnel shall be prepared to assist if any serious emergency arises, and shall render temporary or emergency treatment for cuts and minor injuries sustained by competitors.
- (5) Medical personnel must remain at the venue until the competitors are cleared following the post-fight examinations and any additional medical care is provided after the event has concluded.
- (6) No manager or second shall attempt to render aid to an unarmed combat sports competitor during the course of a round before medical personnel has had an opportunity to examine the competitor who may have been injured.
- (7) Time out shall be called by a referee as the referee deems necessary or as requested by medical personnel for an examination of the competitors injuries to determine if the competitor may proceed with the round.
