Rules governing champions shall apply to state and regional champions except that titles shall be defended at least once every six months if a suitable challenger is available and a challenge is made. If an unarmed combat sports competitor does not defend the state or regional title within this period of time or refuses to accept a reasonable offer to defend against a challenger, the title automatically shall be vacated.
