1. (1) Custodians shall retain biological evidence for any covered offense for the periods specified in ORS 137.707.
2. (2) Custodians should confirm with the local district attorney whether a person convicted of a covered offense has served the person’s sentence.
3. (3) Custodians shall use the form provided in Appendix A to seek early disposal of biological evidence.

4. (4) Custodians shall not dispose of biological evidence without a signed order from a court.
