1. (1) The Department may contract with one or more tide gate coordinators for purposes including but not limited to:

   1. (a) Providing technical assistance and program information to tide gate owners;
   2. (b) Providing interagency liaison services to direct tide gate projects through the permitting and funding processes; and
   3. (c) To assist the Department in determining project feasibility, eligibility, or to gather watershed or economic information for Department prioritization efforts.
2. (2) The Department may contract for technical studies that have a statewide benefit for tide gate project development.
