Compulsory School Attendance for a Child

- A. Compulsory school attendance for a child from the age at which the child is eligible to attend kindergarten so that participation in the AFDC program is conditioned upon compulsory school attendance for a child who is eligible to attend kindergarten to eighteen (18) years of age, unless the child is being home educated as per the Oklahoma Constitution and statutes, shall be a condition for participation in the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program.
- B. The Commission for Human Services shall promulgate rules for implementing the provisions of this section which will authorize the Department to deny a recipient of benefits under the TANF program that portion of payments which relate to an individual who fails to comply with the requirements of this section.
