1. (1) The purpose of the act is to promote employment security by increasing opportunities for placement through the maintenance of a system of public employment offices and to provide through the accumulation of reserves for the payment of compensation to individuals with respect to their unemployment. The Legislature hereby declares its intention to provide for carrying out the purposes of this act in cooperation with the appropriate agencies of other states and of the federal government, as part of a nationwide employment security program, in order to secure for this state and the citizens thereof the grants and privileges available thereunder.
2. (2) The purpose of this act is to renumber, recodify, amend, and to reenact the present Oklahoma Employment Security Act, 40 O.S.1971, Section 211 through Section 238.1, both inclusive, as amended, and to delete obsolete language therefrom and to add new language thereto. Said laws as reenacted and amended herein shall be codified in Title 40 with the article numbers, part numbers, section numbers and captions provided in this act. This act is and shall be interpreted and construed as a recodification and renumbering of the Oklahoma Employment Security Act, including amendments thereof as provided herein. It is the intention of the Legislature that this act shall be construed and interpreted as a reenactment with amendments of the Oklahoma Employment Security Act.
