Okla. Stat. tit. 12A, § 7-303
(b) Unless instructions described in subsection (a) of this section are included in a negotiable bill of lading, a person to which the bill is duly negotiated may hold the bailee according to the original terms.
Oklahoma Code Comment Prior Statutory Provisions: 13 O.S. §§ 63, 64. Text and derivation of prior provisions, see Appendix at end of this title. Comment: This changes Oklahoma law as it was set out in former 13 O.S. §§ 63 and 64, under which the orders of the consignee were paramount as to directions to deliver the goods. Also, the previous Oklahoma law made no distinction between negotiable and non-negotiable instruments, and made no provision for the orders of the holder of a negotiable bill of lading. The previous Oklahoma statutes were, therefore, antiquated and not sufficient for modern practices. The Commercial Code establishes clear rules covering modern practices.
