As used in Article VII of the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children, the term "executive head" means the Governor of the State of Oklahoma. The Governor is hereby authorized to appoint a compact administrator in accordance with the terms of said Article

Laws 2008, SB 906, c. 156, § 1 enacts the new Interstate Compact for the Placement of Children as 10 O.S. § 577. Section 2 of the act repeals 10 O.S. §§ 571, 572, 573, 574, 575, and 576. Section 3 provides that the enactment shall become effective upon the enactment by thrity-five states, as defined by Article II of the Interstate Compact for the Placement of Children or July 1, 2008, whichever is later.
