If a complainant expresses the desire to withdraw his/her complaint and sign as no desire to pursue the complaint further, he/she shall be requested to sign a complaint waiver form. Complaint waivers will be forwarded through channels to the assigning authority. The signing of a complaint withdrawal by the complainant will formally terminate citizens request or investigation. However, no such investigation will be terminated without authorization from the Director.
