- (a) All certified programs shall provide assistance to victims and their dependents in legal matters relevant to their situation. Court advocacy services include provision of information, support, assistance, safety planning, accompaniment and intervention with any aspect of the civil or criminal legal system on behalf of a victim of human trafficking. Court advocacy services must be provided by qualified, trained staff members or volunteers.
- (b) Advocacy services must both be in person or by telephone, either in the location of other community locations and systems, or in the program's offices. Other locations include but are not limited to those necessary to provide court advocacy services to clients.
- (c) Compliance with this Section shall be determined by a review of policies and procedures, client files and personnel files.
