1. (a) It shall be the responsibility of the investigating law enforcement agency to appropriately report collisions resulting in death, whether the death occurs at the scene of the collision or the death is a delayed fatality. A delayed fatality is a death which occurs as a result of injuries sustained in the collision within thirty (30) days after the date of the collision.
2. (b) When a delayed fatality occurs, a medical examiner will investigate the death as provided in 63 O.S., § 931 et seq. and provide the investigating agency or agencies a copy of the medical examiner's report.[63 O.S., § 942].
3. (c) If a delayed fatality occurs after a collision report has already been submitted to Safety Service Oklahoma by the investigating law enforcement agency, the investigating agency shall submit a revised collision report documenting the death.
