1. (a) Policy. The congregate and home delivered meals programs provide formal nutrition education to project participants.
2. (b) Authority. The authority for this Section is Sections 331(3) and 339(2)(J) of the Older Americans Act of 1965, as amended.

3. (c) Procedures. Nutrition education is registered dietician (RD) approved and:

   1. (1) at least once per month;
   2. (2) provided to congregate and home delivered meals participants;
   3. (3) documented on Form 02AG025E, Dietary Consultant's Report; and
   4. (4) participant questions related to the nutrition education are responded to by the RD.
