Licensure of Crematories
63 O.S.1981, §§ 1-331 et seq.; Codified 12-31-91; Effective 11-1-01, the authority to "promulgate rules necessary for the licensing, inspection, and regulation of crematories" [63 O.S.2001, § 1-331.1 (Laws 2001, c. 75, § 3)] was transferred from the State Commissioner of Health to the Oklahoma State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors (name later changed to Oklahoma Funeral Board). The Funeral Board subsequently enacted a new rule at OAC 235:10-14-1 on 6-25-09, and the Department of Health later revoked its rules regulating crematories in this Chapter 100 on 9-12-14.Oklahoma State Department of Health
