It shall be the duty of the Central Purchasing Unit to make acquisitions for the Authority and not attempt to invest Authority time in acquisitions for the personal gain of its employees. This policy does not include the Authority's program for supplying safety equipment for the employee at discounted rates, to acquisitions made for employee recognition purposes as may be allowed by state statutes, or such other acquisitions that may be approved by the Chief Executive Officer.
