- (a) An applicant shall take and pass a validated examination that demonstrates that the applicant has the necessary skills, knowledge, ability, and judgment as appropriate for the classification. The applicant shall answer at least 70% of the questions correctly on the validated examination. An applicant who does not receive a passing grade on the validated examination must wait a minimum of thirty (30) days to retake the examination.
- (b) Validated examinations shall be administered by DEQ or its designee at such times and places as necessary.
- (c) Validated examinations, answer sheets, and test scores are confidential and shall not be disclosed to any person except the applicant. Proper identification may be required.
- (d) An applicant determined to have cheated on a validated examination shall be deemed to have failed the validated examination and shall be prohibited from applying for certification for a period of twelve (12) months.
- (e) DEQ may approve a designee to give oral validated examinations to Distribution and Collection Technicians who are unable to take a written validated examination.
