- (a) The laboratory shall have a plan to ensure that the records are maintained and transferred according to the clients' instructions in the event that a laboratory transfers ownership or goes out of business. In addition, applicable regulatory and state legal requirements concerning laboratory records shall be followed routinely.
- (b) Records shall be retained for a minimum of five (5) years from generation of the last entry in the record.
