1. (a) The applicant must meet all requirements of the federal rules concerning job search allowances found at 20 C.F.R. Sections 617.30 through 617.39 to be eligible for a job search allowance.
2. (b) A job search allowance will be allowed only when the applicant is required to travel outside the applicant's commuting area for a job interview.

3. (c) To be eligible for a job search allowance, an applicant must:

   1. (1) File an application for job search allowance before traveling to the interview; and
   2. (2) Schedule the job interview with the prospective employer before attending the interview.
4. (d) No job search allowance will be paid if the claimant fails to attend a scheduled interview.
