1. (a) In General. All telecommunications service providers have the duty to provide number portability in accordance with requirements prescribed by the FCC.
2. (b) Additional State Requirements. To the extent a telecommunications service provider allows an end-user to retain the same telephone number when changing service locations within a wire center, said telecommunications service provider must allow an end-user to retain the same telephone number when changing service locations and telecommunications service providers within a wire center.
