(a) The Oklahoma Main Street Program shall annually designate municipalities to participate in the program. There are three (3) categories of participants:
- (1) Main Street Small Town program participants shall be selected from eligible municipalities with populations of less than five thousand (5,000) persons according to the latest federal decennial census;
- (2) Main Street program participants shall be selected from eligible municipalities with populations of between five thousand (5,000) and fifty thousand (50,000) persons according to the latest federal decennial census;
- (3) Main Street Urban program participants shall be selected from eligible municipalities with populations of more than fifty thousand (50,000) persons according to the latest federal decennial census.
- (b) Applications for the Main Street Small Town program and the Main Street program may be submitted by a non-profit organization, or an economic development organization. Main Street Urban program applications must be submitted by the municipality.
- (c) The number of participants is subject to funding limitations and the quality of applications received.
