(b) As a safety precaution, an employee should be aware of the nature of the fluid contained in the piping on which he is working. Therefore, piping should be color coded in accordance with standards listed below. This coding can be accomplished by painting or by banding the pipe at frequent intervals with colored tape. The direction of the flow should be indicated by an arrow.
