The construction, installation, operation, and maintenance of new sprinkler systems in accordance with the generally accepted standards listed in the appendix to these rules and regulations^*, to the extent that such standards are consistent with these rules and regulations, shall constitute compliance with this Part or any applicable provision thereof.
