1. (1) any United States or New York State Government Official;
2. (2) any member of the United States Congress;
3. (3) any member of the New York State Legislature;

4. (4) any Judge of any Federal or New York State Court;

   Note:

   This does not include Town Justice Court.

5. (5) the resident's attorney of record or legal representative (law guardian);
6. (6) the commissioner of the New York State Office of Children and Family Services;
7. (7) any deputy commissioner of the New York State Office of Children and Family Services; and

8. (8) an ombudsman of the New York State Office of Children and Family Services.

   (b) Government official.

   The following individuals shall be considered to be government officials:

9. (1) President or Vice President of the United States;
10. (2) a member of the U.S. Cabinet;
11. (3) commissioner, chief, sheriff of a police department;
12. (4) commissioner of a State agency;
13. (5) a deputy commissioner of a State agency; and
14. (6) a district attorney or a representative of an assistant district attorney.

Any item of correspondence to or from those persons (titles) or entities listed below:
