1. (a) For one-teacher school classroom or other small room, used for assembly purposes, the following sizes are recommended:

   1. (1) 3 feet by 5 feet on 8-foot standard; or
   2. (2) 2 feet, 6 inches by 4 feet on 7- or 7 ½-foot standard.

2. (b) For auditorium or large assembly hall, the following sizes are suggested:

   1. (1) 5 feet by 9 feet on 12-foot standard;
   2. (2) 4 feet, 4 inches by 5 feet, 6 inches on 9-foot standard (see Army regulations 260-10, paragraph 4); or

   3. (3) 4 feet by 6 feet on 9-foot standard.

      (c)

   4. (1) The flag proportions shall be as follows:

      Hoist (width) of flag 1.0

      Fly (length) of flag 1.9

      Hoist (width) of union 7/13

      Fly (length) of union 0.76

      Width of each stripe 1/13

   5. (2) For schools that wish to provide flags of such proportion as the foregoing, the following sizes are recommended:

      1. (i) For classroom or other small room used for assembly purposes, 2.37 feet by 4.5 feet on 7- or 7½-foot standard.
      2. (ii) For auditorium or large assembly hall, 4 feet by 7.6 feet on 12-foot standard, or 5 feet by 9.5 feet on 14- or 15-foot standard.

The flag for use in school assembly rooms should be of silk; and of such proportion and size as to command attention and respect.
