(a) Preprofessional education.
The preliminary education requirement for the certified shorthand reporter license shall be graduation from high school or its equivalent.
(b) Professional study.
To meet the professional study requirement, the applicant shall present evidence of the completion of technical study in manual or machine shorthand reporting from a postsecondary school, or private instruction consisting of 1,300 hours. Such study or instruction shall be designed to develop:
