Definitions.
Department of Corrections and Community Supervision
(a)
Department
means the State of New York Department of Correctional Services.
(b)
Firearm
means any pistol, revolver, sawed-off shotgun, machine gun or other firearm of a size which may be concealed upon a person.
(c)
Personal firearm
means any revolver, single-shot or semi-automatic pistol.
(d)
Employee
, for purposes of this Part, shall mean a person having peace-officer status who is employed by the Department of Correctional Services.
