- (a) Attorneys who file their biennial registration statement in calendar year 2000 shall complete 12 credit hours of accredited continuing legal education as of the date of the filing in any combination of the categories set forth in section 1500.22(a) of this Part. Attorneys who accumulate more than 12 credit hours at the time of this filing may carry over a maximum of six credit hours to the next biennial cycle.
- (b) Attorneys who file their biennial registration statement in calendar year 2001 must complete the full 24 credit hours of accredited continuing legal education as set forth in section 1500.22(a) of this Part. Approved CLE credits earned from January 1, 1998, may be applied toward fulfilling the requirements for the initial biennial reporting cycle.
The requirements of this subpart shall become effective on December 31, 1998. Compliance with the certification requirement shall commence with biennial attorney registration statements filed on or after January 1, 2000, as follows:
